Puzzled
In the next 4 years there are going to be a lot of changes, good and painful, depending on what side of the tracks you live on. We as Union members need to remember that it took a lot of hard work and determination to get our unions and workers rights where they are today. There are a lot of young adults out there that may never have a chance of having what we as union members take for granted, medical, disability and life insurance just to name a few. Benefits, we receive because of our union negotiated contracts. There are children out there that may never see a doctor as much as they need to because the parents don't have health insurance. Also there are young adults that don't go to the doctor unless they almost cut their arm off or something they can't tough out. That is just not right. A person should not have to choose between food and going to the doctors. There are people out there that want to take everything union members have worked so long for away. Our jobs in the USA, each one, no matter how big or how small make this country work. We need to lead our elected officials to do the right thing and keep our American jobs in this country, even if it means that we pay more at the cash register. We cannot afford any more jobs to leave this country. You’ve got to ask yourself, are we getting what we are paying for with our hard earned tax dollars. It is important that we take interest in what our elected officials are doing with our country. Just remember, we as members are the union. It is not they; we will make the difference in the long run. |
